World Cleanup Day 2020

Several of the UN’s sustainable development goals have highlighted the impact of waste, plastic, and garbage in the environment, specifically plastic in the oceans. This year, our IBDP classes have banded together in support of the Plastic Soup Foundation and Stichting Nederland Schoon to participate in World Clean-Up Day. This is an international initiative, involving 180+ countries, where individuals, groups, and communities take responsibility for their local environments and clean up as much plastic waste and litter from public places as possible. The Eerde students have already begun doing their part by cleaning up the bike lanes surrounding the castle, collecting over 10 bags of waste!
