At the beginning of our academic year, students from the IB1 went on a trip together for the weekend, to learn more about the International Baccalaureate but also to learn more about one another.
The IB Diploma Program Induction Weekend aims to encourage students to discover what makes the IBDP special. It is a good mix of sharing what to expect from the IB program, and do fun activities to increase the team spirit!
Over the course of two and a half days, in the tranquillity and serenity of the dutch countryside, students are introduced to the
- IB diploma programme learners profile;
- IB DP and Eerde requirements;
- Internal assessment items;
- Theory of Knowledge;
- Extended essay;
- CAS program.
The rural setting and the absence of technology provide students with the space to think, reflect, and engage in authentic face to face communication with their peers, with whom they will learn, live, and develop over the following two years.
