IT’S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS!

Also at Eerde! Christmas trees and decorations are put up, and the whole community is busy preparing for the Christmas dinner! The kitchen brigade made a delicious menu for our community to enjoy, the facilities team is working on the decorations and furniture, and the SRC (Student Representative Council) is preparing the seating for dinner, as well as the after dinner party!

The whole school can not wait for Christmas dinner; where everybody will dress up to look fabulous and together with all staff members enjoying each other’s company with great food, on the night before all of our students will travel back home to enjoy the holidays with their loved ones. Where some of our students will go home by train for 2 hours, others will need to travel for almost 20 hours to get back home! We wish for everyone to have an amazing time together with their loved ones.

One of the most magical moments of this event is the ceremony of light, where we will celebrate the return of the light together with all students and staff by lighting candles and share this moment with each other around the rondell in front of the castle.

CHRISTMAS CAROL

Christmas could not start without A Christmas Carol … Ashley Ramsden will come to Eerde this week for a whole school performance of Dickens’ well-known Christmas Carol!

The story embraces the original masterpiece transporting us back in time to Victorian England. We meet the wicked Ebenezer Scrooge on Christmas Eve, when he receives the visits of the three ghosts of the past, present and the future. Will he change his mean, miserly ways before it’s too late?

A wonderful and inspiring performance to get you totally in the Christmas mood.

After the performance the IMYC and grade 9 will be involved in a storytelling workshop with Ashley himself.

What a wonderful time of the year!

On behalf of all Eerde’s staff members, we wish you a very merry Christmas! Enjoy this amazing time of the year together!
