This week has been our International Week. International Week is one of the highlights of the year and something we all look forward to! The week was planned by our wonderful teachers in school. The week started off with an assembly full of internationally themed activities including an Inter-house quiz – won by Integrity House, followed by Perseverance in 2nd Place and Preparation House in 3rd.
Lots of activities were planned over the week. We had some Balkan Dancing and Turkish Dancing. We had an International Short Film competition. We designed an Eerde flag based on our internationalism and identified key landmarks from all over the world together on a big world map.
Each day everyone wore different colors, on Monday, orange for the Netherlands, and on Friday the colors of their own flag or their own national dress. And of course, on Wednesday we had our International Potluck lunch in which everyone cooked dishes from their own country to share with the whole community!!
It was a fantastic week!
