On Wednesday, the 5th of February, the IMYC went on the Rijksmuseum field trip. They participated in a tour and investigation into numerous paintings by Rembrandt, where they looked at his style, technique, and use of mediums.
The students also participated in a painting workshop, like Rembrandt, they had to mix their own paint using pigment powder and linseed oil. They then used the colours that they created to paint their own expressive and creative interpretation of a Rembrandt landscape.
