As the world blossoms into spring, we at Eerde embraced the Persian New Year—Nowruz—a celebration that follows not the ticking of the clock, but the rhythm of the universe itself. Marking the arrival of spring in the Northern Hemisphere, Nowruz is a time of renewal, harmony, and joy.

With four Iranian members in our community, we had the wonderful opportunity to share this beautiful tradition with all our students. On Tuesday, March 18th, our schoolyard transformed into a vibrant festival of music, dance, and togetherness. Around the fire, we swayed to Persian melodies, shared delicious traditional treats, and created cherished memories.

At the heart of our celebration stood the Haft-Sin table, a key tradition of Nowruz. This special display featured seven symbolic items, all starting with the Persian letter “S,” representing themes of renewal, health, love, and prosperity.

This unforgettable gathering was more than just a celebration—it was a bridge between cultures, a moment of unity, and a true reflection of the spirit of Eerde. Here’s to new beginnings, fresh growth, and the beauty of sharing traditions!
