ROI & Application Submission

Document Review
Then students need to ensure that all required documents are uploaded and complete the checklist provided on our admissions platform. This step is essential for our admissions team to begin reviewing your application and moving forward with the assessment process.

Interview or School Visit/Tour
As part of the admissions process, students and their families are invited to participate in an interview either virtually or in person. This allows us to get to know the student better, understand their motivations, and assess their readiness for our academic environment.
Whenever possible, we highly encourage families to schedule a school visit or campus tour. Visiting during a regular school day offers valuable insight into daily life at Eerde, including the classroom experience, boarding facilities, and interactions with both students and staff. It’s a great opportunity to ask questions, meet members of the academic team, and truly get a feel for our community.

Internal Test
(Duolingo / iDAT)
As part of the assessment process, students are required to complete an internal evaluation to help us better understand their academic level and English language proficiency.
We typically use the Duolingo English Test to assess language skills, especially for non-native English speakers. This test is flexible, can be taken online, and provides a reliable indication of the student’s readiness for instruction in English.
In some cases, we may also request the student to take the iDAT (International Diagnostic & Admissions Test), which evaluates a broader range of academic skills, including mathematics, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
These assessments allow us to ensure the best possible placement and support for each student at Eerde.

Enrollment Steps
- Placement Announcement
- Acceptance & Registration Fee
- Visa Process
- Pre-Departure Briefing
- Final Tuition Fee / Boarding Payment
- Arrival at School & Orientation Week
Placement Announcement
Once all application steps have been completed including document review, interviews, and assessments our Admissions team carefully evaluates the applicant’s overall profile. This includes academic history, test results, personal motivation, and overall fit with Eerde’s values and learning environment.
Following this review, we will issue a Placement Announcement, informing the family whether the student has been accepted, waitlisted, or if further steps are needed. If accepted, the announcement will include details about the next steps for enrollment, including the offer letter, tuition fees, and important deadlines.
This stage marks the official confirmation of the student’s place at Eerde and opens the path to finalizing their enrollment.

Acceptance & Registration Fee
Upon receiving the official acceptance letter, families are asked to confirm the student’s place by paying a non-refundable registration fee. This fee secures the student’s spot at Eerde and allows us to begin preparing for their arrival, including onboarding, class placement, and boarding arrangements.

Visa Process
For international students who require a visa to study in the Netherlands, our admissions team will provide detailed support throughout the application process. We will issue the necessary documents (including the official letter of acceptance and proof of enrollment) and guide the family on the appropriate visa steps to ensure timely approval before the intake date.

Pre-Departure Briefing with Coordinator and Boarding Team
Before the school year begins, students and parents are invited to a pre-departure briefing. This session led by our Boarding Team and Student Life Coordinator covers key topics such as travel planning, what to pack, dormitory life, student expectations, and general well-being. It’s also an opportunity to ask questions and meet some of the staff members who will support the student on a daily basis.

Final Tuition Fee / Boarding Payment
(1 Month Before Intake Date)
To complete enrollment, families are required to settle the full tuition and boarding fees no later than one month prior to the intake date. This ensures that all logistical arrangements, including class schedules and accommodation, can be finalized ahead of the student’s arrival.

Arrival at School and Orientation Week
Students are welcomed on campus by the boarding and academic teams. During the first week, they take part in Orientation Week, which includes activities designed to help them settle into their new environment, meet classmates and staff, learn the school’s routines, and build confidence for the academic year ahead. It’s an important time for students to feel at home and supported from the very beginning.
